Do you ever happen across little wonderful surprises? I did on this very day. Sometimes, waiting for paycheck day can be hard, as we all know. Well, today I had a small reprieve. A check in the mail, for a tiny poem, from a lovely magazine publisher. A little wonderful surprise, just in the nick of time. Quite lovely, really.
What are your creative goals for the New Year? Here are several of my goals: 1. Have a book published 2. Have my artwork published 3. Sell more writing 4. Sell more artwork 5. Write new stories 6. Create new artwork and, of course, the tried and true yearly goal: Become independently wealthy

Do you have your own Island of Misfit Characters? Every once in a while you dust them of and resubmit them to some poor unsuspecting editor or agent? Then the misfits come home again, looking, once again, like they truly belong on the island... I love my little alien baby skateboarders but, alas, I think their story and cute little antics that only I seem to appreciate, will forever remain on the Island of Misfit Characters. Luckily, they are not alone.
